Ekue is built for small businesses, freelancers, consultants, and growing teams that need professional accounting without the complexity or cost of enterprise tools. It's particularly well-suited for service-based businesses that need invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reports.
Yes. Ekue offers many of the same core features as Xero — invoicing, expense tracking, financial reports, and multi-user access — with the addition of built-in audit logs and multi-currency on all plans. Xero locks multi-currency behind higher tiers and doesn't offer a dedicated audit trail. See the full Xero comparison.
Ekue provides full double-entry accounting, journal entries, trial balance reports, and multi-company support — areas where FreshBooks is limited. FreshBooks is better for time tracking and project-based billing. If you need proper financial statements and audit trails, Ekue is the stronger choice. See the full FreshBooks comparison.
Yes. While Wave is free, it lacks role-based permissions, audit logs, multi-currency support, and dedicated customer service. Ekue is built for businesses that have outgrown free accounting and need professional controls at an affordable price. See the full Wave comparison.
